I believe supervision is a vital place for you as a counsellor. The work of a therapist can be difficult and is often unseen; the confidential nature of our work means we can't talk about the ins and outs of our days with the people closest to us. Supervision allows us the space to talk openly and honestly about the things which sit heavily with us, and allows us to celebrate the good pieces of work. It is a place you should feel safe to come and be completely honest about the work you are doing with your clients, knowing that you will be met with support and challenge. Clients are at the heart of the work we do - and how you are matters too!
As a supervisor, I value connection and honesty within the relationship and I always aim to create a space where my supervisees can bring their successes and their difficulties. Having a space to say the unsayable and think the unthinkable brings a freedom and safety to supervision sessions which allows deep processing, benefiting your clients.
I bring a curiosity to my supervision, helping my supervisees get beyond the narrative to what is going on behind.
I love working with trainees and qualified counsellors alike, and can facilitate both online and in person sessions. In general, I provide 60 or 90 minute sessions, at a frequency which suits you.
An hour's supervision costs £50 for qualified counsellors and £40 for trainees.

'I look forward to my supervision sessions with Jodi because she makes me feel safe and heard. She creates an environment free of judgment, giving me space to explore approaches and feelings, which allows me to be vulnerable. Jodi gently challenges me and encourages me to explore my feelings and consider how my thinking or approach could benefit or hinder the client.
I always leave our meetings feeling supported and better equipped to manage challenging situations in a safe and ethical way. Through processing with Jodi, I feel more competent, gaining valuable tips and tools on how to create a safe space for my clients and how to show up as my best self for them.'
